Seems workable! Mostly suitable for NRIs and HNIs. So branding must be solid and product can be positioned as premium. Further almost a category creation, so will require lot marketing. Growth pace once achived, funding seems not a hurdle.

The idea is good. There was a company which is working on this.Forgot the name .I recently saw them on Shark Tank India.

I think this is can be a good initiative by the govt of india Not a space for private players, because if your biz model is based on profiting off of deaths, the only way to increase profits is to increase deaths. Funeral is a growing market in India.

I feel this could be big with proper heartfelt marketing 1. The physical stuff like flowers car etc u can bring a swiggy Zomato kind of thing where you connect local dealers and u know take a service charge. 2. The other virtual stuff you could have it done within the app if possible since certificates etc I wonder how easily it can be accessed online and stuff I have no clue 😅. But yeah the idea if excuted with marketing genius of a co founder this could be a big business

A very unorganised space that needs change. What needs to be kept in mind is the diversity in India with respect to numerous religions, cultures, beliefs etc. There is a company in the US called “Service Corporation International”. They are known for offering funeral and related services. They are even listed on the New York Stock Exchange and valued at around 10 billion dollars. What needs to be kept in mind is that, in the US and other western nations with dominantly Christian population, this is easier to implement. India’s diversity is its boon and bane

This is a great idea. Go for it, it’s an evergreen business. Just need to make sure the business bleeds compassion in every marketing and advertising efforts. Can go with the kind of approach mental health businesses use. As for repeated orders, don’t think of it in terms of a nuclear family but in terms of people recommending for extended family and friends and everything but be very aware and conscious about perfect execution because you only have one shot per customer and you cannot fuck things up at all, ever. That’s the hard part, be the shoulder in their time of grief and you’ll the next client through recommendations, screw up once and you can shut up shop for good.

Why to focus on frequency of order when you can focus on birth and death rate ,

This is a good idea! You shouldn't be embarassed about it... Repeat rates will be very low but word of mouth *might* be high..as sometimes people don't ask other person how they did it! You can give this idea a shot or test the market ones.

There was a sharktank India pitch around the same idea. Nothing to be ashamed of. This can work.

See if you see as a business then this is really impactful and demanding business There are several points you have to think of.. *Who are your target audience (Tier Wise) *How someone remember your product at that situation *If you are on that situation what you do? *India is very emotion sensetive, price sensetive and you have think twice *Idea is good 👍🏻 and solution is also needed

If someone dies by accident people would start suspecting your business. Risky business. More deaths = More money People will start becoming your affiliates and kill random people for money.

Good idea . I think you should hire 80% girls in your team because most of the situation girls are the good handlers in emotional situations.

Why not going for the second part only where you will help in closing of accounts, fund transfer and all? That can be the good business and also there is no taboo in that space, many people wants help in those situations.

If I be honest, businesses are categorised, mixing every thing together will make it confusing for the people. Like, the flowers are of different category, and as you said about the death certificates it comes under the legal category. Bringing them together will make people more confused rather than solving their problems. So, you can either come up with an idea where you still be the one stop solution for the problem, but making it more efficient and actually be useful for the people. Don't focus on 1000 things at a time, start slow and then grow. I feel that your idea has the potential but not the scope. If you can better your idea in any way, perhaps you'll make a big change.
