BMW recalls nearly 400,000 vehicles — CBS 📍 BMW has announced a recall of more than 394,000 vehicles in North America that have airbag inflators manufactured by Takata. 📍The Takata airbags are notorious for throwing sharp metal shards at the driver and passengers when deployed, which have repeatedly caused death. The recall applies to: 📍2006 - 2011 3 Series Sedan (324i, 325i, 325xi, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi); 📍2006 - 2012 3 Series Sportswagon (325xi, 328i, 328xi); 📍2009 - 2011 3 Series Sedan (335d). 📍Note that BMW has not yet received reports of deaths or injuries related to the problem airbags.
