Hey I am on Medial • 1y

Hardest lessons learned in the first 90 days (3-months) of building my startup- 1) Never trust anyone blindly. Not even your co-founders. Test their commitment and make sure everyone’s equity is vested over time including yours. 2) Don’t over optimise for things that don’t matter. 3) Don’t give up too much equity too quickly to the first guy who offers to invest. 4) Don’t incorporate your startup too soon without achieving some form of validation or traction. 5) Don’t go to VC’s with an idea. Go with a solid traction and they will take you way more seriously. Hope this helps some of you fellow founders and dreamers. Aks me if you have any questions. Happy to answer 🙂

Cap Table 101 - Here is how to keep it healthy A lot of founders mess up their cap table in early days. Here are 3 quick rules: 1. Founders should own ~80–85% post pre-seed Too low, and VCs will worry you’re already over-diluted. 2. Avoid giving b

This founder promised equity over WhatsApp. 14 times. Real story. Founder had traction, early product, even investor interest. But no one would commit. Why? Because 14 people were promised equity... with zero documentation. No SHA, no vesting, no c
