US automaker Tesla has filed a lawsuit against an Indian battery maker, Tesla Power India Pvt Ltd, for infringing on its trademark. Tesla accuses the Indian company of using the brand name "Tesla Power" to promote its products despite a cease-and-desist notice. In court, Tesla argued that the Indian company's continued use of the brand name damages their reputation. The Indian company claims that its main business is producing lead acid batteries and has no intention of making electric vehicles. The case will be heard again on May 22nd.
