Blue Origin successfully sends tourists to the edge of space again. Billionaire Jeff Bezos' spaceflight company, Blue Origin, successfully launched six tourists to the edge of space yesterday, marking their return to crewed missions after a nearly two-year break. This was the seventh human flight for Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket, which briefly crossed the Kármán Line, the recognized boundary of space, at 62 miles above Earth. Among the passengers was 90-year-old Ed Dwight, a former Air Force pilot who trained to be an astronaut in the 1960s but never made it to space until today. The 10-minute trip included a brief period of weightlessness before a safe landing back in West Texas. Notably, one of the capsule's three parachutes malfunctioned, but redundant safety systems ensured a smooth touchdown. This launch marks a comeback for Blue Origin's crewed missions, following an engine anomaly in September 2022 that grounded the program for over a year. Follow for more !! 😁
