I think you can set timer for social media apps , gaming apps , and involve in some work where you feel relieved like talking to family members , friends and you can even become member of ngo which help poor children

See honestly uninstalling will won't help in long run, coz it might happen u get tempt to some trend and the FOMO takes over then u again download it, so, I would recommend 4 things which I follow and it worked for me: 1. Avoid using mobile immediately 4hrs aft waking up. 2. Not using mobile on bed. 3. Stop using mobile before 1hr to sleep. 4. Priorities ur priorities 1st and select a timeline for social media usage.

Uninstall the app and try not to install it again Indulge in other activities

Uninstalled all the apps which takes too much of my time now a days my screen time is average of 3.5 hrs

Instagram is the issue for most people so I guess here are some ways you make your screen time less 1- unfollow memes or follow only those page that provides you some value. 2- log off you account every time you exit or keep a switch account system. 3- remind yourself that you can open it only three times in a day be it morning, day, and night, one time each. 4- or install Instagram in your brother or mom's phone. And uninstall it or log off from your phone. 5- at last you can set timers but that really doesn't work.

I follow an alarm method . Usually I keep 10 alarms or so in a day mentioning "mobile" so when alarm rings that time i will be checking if any imp messages or calls which missed . And I turn off all social media so that there will be no disturbance .

Uninstall all your social media apps it would be great and best step to reduce screen time

Turn off notifications and limit the app time from digital wellbeing.

I try to follow pomodoro technique, Digital-Well being gives me my screen-time & sets the limit of usage of the apps.

Delete Instagram you’ll be fine😂

I use Nothing phone 2 which by default makes the apps boring due to its UI and Monochrome UX. So gets around 2.5-3 hours per day. Try using monochrome UI

I set 0 daily usage minutes for Instagram Facebook Twitter and using YouTube only for startup ideas and screen time is 2.5hrs

It’s not necessary to reduce the screen time for everyone. For someone who is having very delusional Lifestyle, they are just OK with it. On the other hand, if you have some real goals and to move towards it a bit everyday, you should not control your phone, you have to do that to your brain 🧠 instead.

I uninstall Instagram, it takes most of screen time.

I am trying to upload youtube shorts of showing how to maintain routine life, and for that I keep my phone aside and start timelapse at an angle for hours sitting in front of laptop and books…. But I don’t upload at last 😂. But i will start uploading soon… u can follow my youtube channel anyways

Few points here. It's impossible to reduce your desktop/laptop screentime as it's essential for the job. Regarding phone you can use lots of ways but it will not matter as most time is taken by laptop/desktop.

Over the past few months, I have managed to reduce my screentime by, ~ uninstalling all the social media apps from my phone and only use them from my browser. ~ also, I never save my passwords or keep myself logged in for these websites. After using it for a couple of minutes, I logout and close the entire tab, making it less convenient for accessing them. ~ I have started using my phone in the Black & White mode (usually it's under the Eye comfort in Display Settings). No colors make it boring and prevent prolonged usage. ~ and while I'm working or need myself in the focused mode, the Zen Mode makes it extremely easy to be less distracted and be in an interrupted Flow state. These changes worked for me.
