Minimum wages now apply across all sectors. 🔹 Social Security Expanded: PF, ESIC, gratuity, and social protection extended even to gig and platform workers. 🔹 Hiring & Firing Rules Updated: Companies with up to 300 employees can hire/exit more flexibly — a major shift for industry. 🔹 Workplace Safety Overhauled: Stronger standards, mandatory appointment letters, cleaner compliance. 🔹 Simplified Compliance: One integrated framework instead of 29 fragmented laws. This reform won’t be perfect from day one but it pushes India into a more formal, transparent, future-ready labour market.
