They need to introduce something truly innovative to disrupt the market — otherwise, you know how it goes. People don’t usually use two apps for the same purpose. For example, WhatsApp and Telegram both serve as messaging platforms, but they have distinct use cases. If Telegram were exactly the same as WhatsApp, it would have faded away long ago. That’s what’s happening now — Arattai needs to bring something unique to the table. Founders in India should focus on building products that don’t already exist in the market. Ola may have been inspired by Uber, and Flipkart by Amazon, but they succeeded because those models weren’t available in India at the time. Innovation, not imitation, is what sustains success in the long run.

Has anyone ever thought that WhatsApp has two apps, one is WhatsApp and the other is WhatsApp Business? Now, they have added the WhatsApp payment or WhatsApp UPI feature to WhatsApp, but it is probably needed the most in WhatsApp Business. samaj rahe
