I don't think an app like WhatsApp can ever be replaced, until banned by the government. Like China did. And, frankly, its not needed as of now.

I tried to use it but in my surroundings no one is using it, so currently it is installed but I am not active on it. Hike I was using actively though.

yes. I was using the app but after zoho ceo language war provoking statement I deleted that app and multiple friends deleted for the same reason too. we downloaded zoho all apps because it's indian.

firstly I am an Indian and being patriotic I installed this and not used this till now because it doesn't have any end to end encryption of chats and also. if there is any private information that will be given to indian government or used by the development duing some particular circumstances. whatsapp doesn't give its data to anyone so I guess at present whatsapp is the better one. may be in future we can use this if they develop well.

i am using it but as a secondary medium as my college group is in whatsapp and its really hard to convince someone about downloading this

I think without highly govt involvement (something like banning others apps overnight, or create a firewall like china) ... it almost impossible to run a mass social media application, where already big players exist.They already created a good content and user cycle. And it's not only about india, most of the other countries are also in same position.

We all are so used to WhatsApp because our family and friends also use it, that we often forget about other apps made in India. Trust plays a big role — and that’s where WhatsApp wins. I even downloaded Arattai Messenger, but since none of my friends or family use it, I had to go back to WhatsApp. Most people don’t even know what Arattai is, so we really need to spread awareness about such Indian-made apps.

They need to introduce something truly innovative to disrupt the market — otherwise, you know how it goes. People don’t usually use two apps for the same purpose. For example, WhatsApp and Telegram both serve as messaging platforms, but they have distinct use cases. If Telegram were exactly the same as WhatsApp, it would have faded away long ago. That’s what’s happening now — Arattai needs to bring something unique to the table. Founders in India should focus on building products that don’t already exist in the market. Ola may have been inspired by Uber, and Flipkart by Amazon, but they succeeded because those models weren’t available in India at the time. Innovation, not imitation, is what sustains success in the long run.
