Are podcasts the new PR billboards? Or have we just lost the plot? As someone who genuinely enjoys long-form content, podcasts have helped me stay curious and focused in a world obsessed with 10-second reels. But yes, the noise is real. Every founder is on every podcast. Same story, same funding round, same talking points. Some even use it to whitewash narratives while their companies struggle and customers are left unheard. Others push movie promos instead of value. But then you listen to a Think School or Indian Silicon Valley episode, and you’re reminded, this is what podcasts can be. Raw insights, real stories, deep thinking. We don’t need more mics. We need more meaning. Let’s bring podcasts back to what they were meant to be: a source of clarity, not clutter. Some of my favourites: Raj Shamani’s Figuring Out, Think School by Ganesh, Jivraj’s Indian Silicon Valley, Backstage with Millionaires, The Barbershop, WTF by Nikhil Kamath. Which ones do you still listen to?
