Hey guys!! looking to buy a laptop mainly for coding n programming. If you’re into coding and know any good options, please drop your suggestions. Really need some help here. Note: Budget is ₹40k. Can’t stretch it.

Don't waste money on Windows laptops with bloatware. Get a used ThinkPad T480 or T490 for around ₹35-38k from sites like 2gud or renewed Amazon. ThinkPads are built like tanks, have great keyboards for coding, and run Linux flawlessly. The older business laptops have much better build quality than new consumer models at the same price. Spend the remaining money on a RAM upgrade to 16GB and you'll have a machine that lasts years.

IdeaPad Slim 3 with Ryzen 5 5500U should be available around ₹40k. It has a decent CPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. The display is mediocre but it's perfectly fine for coding.

For ₹40k, go for an HP Pavilion with Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM (upgradable to 16GB later), and an SSD. The Ryzen processors give much better performance per rupee compared to Intel at this price point. Make sure whatever you buy has at least 256GB SSD - avoid HDDs completely for coding work. Check Flipkart or Amazon sales, they often drop prices by 3-5k during seasonal sales.
