I'm planning to buy a new laptop, I've to use it for leetcode, ml projects (not too heavy ones) and basic coding. I've my office laptop, so I'll be using mine for 2hrs at max after my job (so, I'm thinking whether to spend 15k more or not). Also, I need a laptop that can be used for the next 6-7 years at least. The initial budget was around 50-55k now it's around 65k I'm getting a macbook air m2 (16/256) at around 65k. Is it worth buying in 2026 or should I increase the budget and get an air m4(it seems a bit costly) or wait for the m2 price drop during the m5 launch. I was also planning for a motobook 60 pro (ultra 5, 16gb/1tb), which I was getting for 52k in Flipkart sale , but now it's price has been increased to 62k. I'm a bit hesitant for windows laptop due to its updates and lagging issues

i think you go for an HP or Dell company laptop because it's very old in the market + you get a service centre easier in your area as well as low maintenance cost & if anything happens you get all parts easier and in less price....!! it's my opinion, at the end of the day it's your choice and your life:) 🙃

The MacBook Air M2 seems like a solid choice for your use case-light ML projects, LeetCode, and long-term reliability. Waiting for the M4 or a price drop could help, but M2 is already future-proof for several years.

💻 The first Soviet laptop. Elektronika MS 1504 — the first Soviet laptop, was produced from 1991 to 1994. 👉 Priced at around 3-4 average monthly salaries, it was quite a luxury for its time.
