As a student, focus on portability and battery life. You don’t want to carry a heavy machine around. Look for something like Dell XPS 13 or HP Envy. They’ll handle your needs and won’t break your back

Avoid getting caught up in brands. Focus on specs. At the very least, get a laptop with 16GB RAM and a decent GPU if you’re editing videos. You don’t want to be stuck with a laggy machine after 6 months.
