I’ve noticed a lot of people make this mistake they invest in a company just because it offers good dividends, without looking at anything else. But that’s not really a smart approach. The dividends you get are based on how much you invest. So if you’re earning ₹100 on a ₹10,000 investment, think about it is it really worth risking ₹10,000 just for that ₹100? A high dividend doesn’t always mean a company is great. In fact, many strong companies actually pay lower dividends because they’re focused on growth. They’d rather reinvest the money into expanding the business than pay it all out.
