but yaar charging users, even a small amount , might actually backfire. i personally feel UPI worked because it was free and super convenient. The moment you add a cost, people might just go back to cash or look for hacks to avoid paying.t’s not like every user is doing highvalue or highvolume transactions. For most people like me it’s just buying veggies, splitting bills, or sending money home.If anything, banks and big platforms are already benefiting from the data, engagement, and customer stickiness UPI brings.
