I've been using Duolingo religiously for almost 3 years now, and I honestly couldn't be happier with it. Three major reasons: First, the gamification aspect keeps me motivated like nothing else - that streak counter is literally the reason I've studied Spanish every single day since 2022. Second, the bite-sized lessons fit perfectly into my busy schedule - I can learn during my morning commute, while waiting for coffee, or even during bathroom breaks (don't judge). Third, it's completely free for the basics, which makes language learning accessible to everyone regardless of financial situation. Is it perfect? No. Will it make you fluent alone? Also no. But as a foundation and daily habit-builder, nothing beats it.
