I’m looking to register my business as an LLP to become eligible for funding through incubators and government schemes. I’d like to understand the costs involved in registering an LLP, as well as the yearly compliance and maintenance expenses. Is there anyone preferably CA or someone who has already registered an LLP, who can guide me through the process and provide clarity on the overall expenditure?

Hate to break it to you, but most VCs/incubators prefer private limited companies. LLPs are great for consultants or co-founder teams, but the moment you want cap tables, ESOPs, or funding rounds — it’s conversion time (and more ₹₹₹).

Registration might cost ₹5K–₹10K. But brace yourself for the yearly compliance: DIR-3 KYC, filing Form 11, Form 8, ITRs, and if you have turnover, audits. All in, expect ₹10K–₹25K minimum every year. More if your CA decides you look “funded.” 💸
