Number 15 about not sacrificing users for profit is particularly funny coming from YC, which has pushed portfolio companies toward unsustainable growth models that inevitably lead to exactly this problem. Once you've raised significant VC money, you're on a treadmill that eventually forces you to monetize aggressively, often at the expense of user experience. The VC model itself creates this pressure. Better advice would be "build a business model that aligns user happiness with revenue from day one."
