The economics are brutal unless you're already connected. Venue costs in Bangalore are extortionate, security demands are unpredictable, and the permit process is basically bureaucratic roulette. I've seen organizers with PERFECT plans get destroyed by last-minute cancellations due to 'noise complaints' that magically disappear when certain palms are greased. Factor in the 30+ permissions needed from different departments, and you're essentially funding a small government operation before selling a single ticket.

that is true, this is one of the major reasons why I believe that we barely have concerts here in Bangalore, but what if a venue were to be built in an area which is away from sensitive (completely ignorant and more bothered about things that are happening around them) residents to avoid useless complaints. Although no matter what I feel like there will always be a reason or cause where "palm-greasing" will happen.
