I'll give you a separate view on all the these issues . To start with AI Enabled Diagnostics : The reason I mentioned logistic challenges is because of the sheer number of rural areas that lie next to each other in a vicinity. It is impossible to create a pit stop at every place and create infra structure even if it is as small as a collecting centre. There should be a hierarchy structure like 1 collecting centre for every 5 villages, one basic processing centre from every 5 collecting centres , 1 advance collecting centre for every 5 basic centres and one ware house storing all the inventory for every 5 advance centres catering to the whole lineage below. It's not different from what people are doing with a quick grocery delivery model. AI/Tech integration is possible for smoothening to sort out the dynamic information of upcoming collections/amount of reagents required and creating predictions about the demand situation taking into the account the common diseased conditions and population of the place. This is not a new model for diagnostics too. This hierarchy model is being used in Metro cities by all the diagnostic giant companies like Lal path labs , SRL, Thyrocare and others. Only issue with the rural areas for these big companies is the lack of good sized hospitals, lack of health awareness in the rural areas and the major reason is the affordability of the people. They would readily jump into the scene if they know people are ready to spend big bucks for diagnostics. To be honest, most of the diagnostic companies rely on the health insecurities of urban population . Majority of the time they upsell other tests bundled with the required tests and make money. So, if you plan to do something in this arena , it should be mainly with the required network of small clinicians in the villages, RMPs, govt based PHCs and robust infrastructure of all the collecting, processing centres in place . Without the back drop of this, it is merely impossible to crack this just by bringing in a software. I hope, u understood the issue.
