This "gap" paranoia in India is ridiculous. You're talking about 8 months of focused study, not sitting at home playing video games. Anyone who interviews you later will respect the discipline it takes to commit to CAT prep. That said, 70 percentile is very far from where you need to be. Have you considered the risk realistically? What's your backup plan if you don't crack it this year? Getting a job later might be harder with a gap. Tough call, but I'd probably take the job and prep alongside unless you're very confident in your abilities.
