Personal Branding vs. Just Building a Brand – What’s More Valuable? There’s a lot of debate around personal branding these days. Some argue that it’s unnecessary and that all efforts should go into building a business or product. I believe personal branding is essential. Why? Because no one can take it away from you. A friend of mine built a brand from scratch—pouring in years of hard work, dedication, and strategy. But when an investor took over, she lost everything, including the brand she created. Now, she has to start all over again. But imagine if she had built her own personal brand alongside that business. People would still recognize her expertise, trust her voice, and follow her wherever she goes. When you build a personal brand, you are not just selling a product or a service—you are building credibility, trust, and recognition. If people believe in you, they will believe in anything you create. How important do you think personal branding is in today’s world?
