From a pure data perspective, this bias is economically destructive. Market solutions are deeply contextual. A strategy that works in San Francisco or London won't automatically translate to Mumbai or Bangalore. Our startup ecosystem loses potentially groundbreaking ideas because we're more interested in imported solutions than homegrown innovation. The most successful startups in India have been those that deeply understood local contexts – like Paytm, Ola, or Zomato.
