Lifetime Warranty: Why Don’t Indian Premium Brands Offer It? TL;DR: Indian premium brands rarely offer lifetime warranties. Is it due to market trends, cost concerns, or lack of confidence in durability? Hey everyone, I’ve been wondering—why don’t Indian premium brands offer lifetime warranties? Many claim high-quality materials in accessories, luggage, apparel, or electronics, yet cap warranties at 1-5 years. Meanwhile, global brands confidently offer lifetime warranties or repair programs (BIFL). Why? • Do Indian consumers not expect long-term warranties, preferring replacements? • Are brands worried about misuse or excessive claims? • Is it too costly, making it financially unviable? If a brand isn’t confident in its product’s durability, why should consumers trust its premium pricing? Shouldn’t premium products come with premium after-sales support? Would love insights from consumers & founders. Should Indian brands adopt this, or is it impractical?
