If anyone thinks that this market fall is solely because of Trump, that's not the case. The Q3 results of Indian companies aren't looking great either, and the financial sector is still struggling to manage the stress of unsecured loans. The budget is coming up, and due to rupee depreciation, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) are not investing in the Indian market with confidence. Our import costs will also increase if the rupee continues to depreciate, and our exports are not significant worldwide. There are many factors causing the Indian market to struggle in the short term, and it may continue to do so for some time.

I don't know how many people have noticed this or not, but Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) are currently shifting their focus more towards the primary market, leaving the secondary market behind.
