instead of closing it you can just automate it by creating sop and strategic working model then handover to any person with monthly payments or equity Even after 1-2 years you easily get good brand royalties and maybe other people's will purchase your franchise so at the end of the day closing is not a solution ..... just make it a optimised and self sustaining model then enjoy royalties by selling brand owned franchise models
