India could not beat China in near future , China is dictatorship , there is no election ,Xi zinping is lifetime President so they can focus on development and India is democracy where only few good parties are there for development other parties want distribute freebies for election

The comparison itself is wrong. China doesn't have a robust service sector nor does it have a diversified economy like ours. For us to compete with China, we will need to canibilize our services to grow manufacturing, which is not a good idea. The focus should be on R$D, improving quality not quantity.

it's us as citizens who are focused on freebies. we select government based on religious or caste and we get government which work for religion/caste instead of nation. basic infrastructure like hospital and school are not our priority.

I would say that education system in India is still a big drawback compared to other countries. We have to change the way of thinking... that's the one from my point.

in my view our policy focus more on protectionism so we are lagging more than china

For example, while Jio brought internet to everyone, many villages still lack good roads and electricity. Fixing these gaps will help India grow faster and lead the world.

Let’s not forget, China’s progress comes at the cost of human rights and freedom. I’d rather live in a slow-developing democracy than an authoritarian regime any day.
