Russia to prohibit crypto mining in 10 regions starting 2025 The ban is effective from January 1 until March 15, 2031. The Council of Ministers indicates further bans may occur during peak energy demand, but these could be adjusted or lifted if a government commission finds it necessary based on energy demand changes.
