Community Guidelines
Rule 1
Do not use profanity. Your posts/comments will be moderated and can even lead to banning accounts. Casual use in a running sentence is okay. For example - FML. Dafuq. Sheeet. These words are okay. Pure slangs with the intention of being rude or to hurt someone will not be acceptable on Medial.
Rule 2
Do not leak private data of an individual or a company.
Rule 3
Do not berate or defame anyone you personally know. Criticism of bigger entrepreneurs is fine in terms of their startup, etc. Personal vendetta against individuals won't be tolerated.
Rule 4
Blatant self-promotion isnāt allowed. Please avoid or else these posts will be moderated. You can let people know about your startup subtly. Let's say telling your story, asking for opinion and integrating what you do with something that can initiate a conversation in the comments.
Rule 5
Selling courses is banned. Donāt do it on feed or DMs. If this gets reported, it might lead to a ban.
Rule 6
Violence/threats and nudity are not acceptable on Medial.
Rule 7
Do not try to organize meetups on Medial. We are building a safer way to do this by verifying users soon so that if something goes wrong, people can be held responsible. If you attend anything from a random post on Medial and get harmed, Medial bears no responsibility but will try to help you as much as possible.
Rule 8
Do not impersonate anyone. If you create an account of a big/small entrepreneur or person, your account will get banned. Although, parody accounts like 'Melon Tusk' and 'SamCtrlVAltman' are allowed for light fun and parody.
Rule 9
Do not harass people in DMs.
Rule 10
Do not make Medial a dating site.
Rule 11
Do not make Medial LinkedIn-ish by posting repetitive, copied stories/posts from LinkedIn.
Rule 12
Your posts will trend and get greater visibility if it is a genuine question, discussion, or information.
Rule 13
Your posts have low chances of trending and will get less visibility if it is about self-promotion, MLM schemes, course selling, something unrelated to Medialās theme like romance, personal issues, etc. Eg: Donāt post a breakup story or how you found the love of your life, but you can post about how Valentineās Day increases commerce and how different startups see a revenue jump during Valentineās, etc.
Rule 14
Be respectful and raw. Sarcasm is appreciated if it does not hurt others.
Rule 15
Donāt post the same thing in different PODs.
Rule 16
Spam of any kind will be deleted and can lead to account getting banned.
