Co-Build a VC fund in Public: Day 5 (the story of perseverance) My #storyofTrue What would you do if your idea was not ready for the world… yet? Most of us would hesitate. Some might even walk away. And honestly, who could blame them? Starting something new feels exciting—at first. But then comes the grind, the self-doubt, the moments when the market does not respond the way as you hoped. This is where most founders stop. Not because they do not care, but because the road ahead looks impossibly hard. But then, there are the few who do not stop. The ones who choose to persevere—not because they have all the answers, but because they believe in the power of growth, adaptation, and co-building with others to shape something greater. They understand that building something meaningful is not a solo journey; it is a collective effort—co-creating with teams, customers, and those who stand by them, believing in their crazy idea. That is why the story of True Elements strikes such a chord with me. Back in 2014, when Puru Gupta and Sreejith Moolayil set out to build a healthy snacks brand, the odds were not in their favour. “D2C” was not even a trend. Healthy snacking was a niche most people did not care about. But they kept going. Year after year, decision after decision, challenge after challenge. They listened to their customers, evolved with the market, and stayed true to their vision of creating something honest and meaningful. Think about that. How many of us can claim to have stayed on the course for nearly a decade, constantly learning and adapting while never losing sight of the dream? This is not just the story of a brand; it is the story of grit, of faith in a vision, and of what happens when you refuse to give up—even when giving up feels like the easier choice. Perseverance is the fuel that keeps co-building alive. It is the willingness to stay the course, adapt, and overcome obstacles—together. I am deeply proud to be part of this journey. To Puru, Shijit, and everyone at True Elements—your story reminds us all of the power of perseverance and belief. I wish True Elements all the success and strength to keep thriving for decades to come. Here is to building not just brands, but legacies - together. Co-building Ortella Global Capital - OG Capital, India's only fund that co-builds companies with Rajvardhan Mohite
