SEO Lane Series - Lane 4 Keywords. In previous post, we would have seen what is a keyword all about. In today's post, We will drive in little bit deeper Types of Keywords : Short tail Keywords : Short-tail keywords are broad, generic search phrases that are one or two words long. They are popular and have a high search volume, but are also highly competitive. Example, "Shoes", "Mobile", "Washing machine", "Bike rental" etc... Mid - Tail keywords : Mid-tail keywords are keywords that are longer than short-tail keywords but shorter than long-tail keywords. They are usually two to three words long and have a moderate amount of search volume and competition. Example, "Men's shoes", "Oppo Mobile", "Washing machine dealer ", "Bike rental showrooms " Long - Tail keywords : Long-tail keywords are phrases that are longer and more specific than generic terms, and are used to target niche demographics. "Customized men's sports shoes", "Oppo Mobile under Rs. 25K, "Washing machine dealer in my area", "Bike rental showrooms in chennai" --------------------- Search intent : Basically this is studying why people searching for using their search terms. Search intent is the reason why a user performs a search query, or what they hope to achieve from it. Search intent is important for SEO because search engines like Google are constantly evolving their algorithms to better understand and meet user intent. Now, let's understand what are all the different search intents out there, Informational Intent : Informational keywords are search terms that people use to learn about a topic, find solutions, or get guidance. They are often long-tail keywords, which means they are more specific and detailed than broad keywords. "How to start a blog?" "What is causing my back pain?" "Can solar panels help you save money?" Commercial Intent : Commercial intent keywords are search terms that indicate a strong intent to buy a product or service. People use commercial intent keywords to learn more about products or services, such as reviews, comparisons, or deals "Nikon vs. Canon" "Best soft coolers" Transactional Intent : Transactional intent keywords are search terms that indicate a user is ready to make a purchase or take action on a website. They are also known as buyer keywords "Buy, "Order, "Discount, "Request a quote, "Free shipping, "For sale, and "Near me. Navigational Intent : Navigational intent keywords are search terms that help people find a specific website, page, or other content on a website "Facebook login" "Adobe tutorial" __________________________________ In tomorrow's post, We will see how to do a keyword research using this informations.
