Figuring Out • 3m

The Time United Airlines Won Everyone’s Heart One day, Michael received a call from a doctor, informing him that his mother was in critical condition and taking her last breath. The doctor urged him to come asap. So he immediately booked a United Airlines flight from New York to London (via Greenland). He rushed to the airport and boarded the plane. However, the flight was delayed multiple times and the air hostess announced that the flight would be delayed further, causing everyone to miss their connecting flights. Hearing this, Michael, broke down in tears. Seeing his distress, an air hostess approached and asked what was wrong. After listening to his situation, she immediately informed the pilot. The pilot quickly contacted their operations team and requested the connecting airline to delay its flight by an hour. Remarkably, the other airline agreed. The pilot too increased the plane's speed to ensure an earlier landing. As a result, Michael successfully boarded the connecting flight and was able to meet his mother before she passed away.
