These billboards by Claude don't really do a great job at telling what the product is about plus there's no emotional appeal to it. With ChatGPT's search volume almost 20x higher, Claude needs to work well on their brand awareness. Many people actually prefer Claude over ChatGPT. But these plain billboards don't seem to effective to put their message across in my opinion. What do you think? And do you prefer Claude over ChatGPT?

These billboards are a total swing and a miss. No clear messaging, no differentiating features, nothing to make me want to choose Claude over the competition. It's just a name and a growth chart. How is that supposed to drive awareness and conversions? Feels like a waste of advertising dollars to me.

I actually really like the minimalist, clean aesthetic of the Claude billboards. It's a bold, confident brand statement that lets the name and growth icon do the talking. Less is more when you're building awareness. And personally, I prefer Claude's approach and capabilities over ChatGPT - it feels more versatile and transparent.

I actually think the Claude team is being smart here. Build up that brand equity first, then layer in the product details later. Get people curious and intrigued, then reel them in with the capabilities.

Keep thinking about the influence of behavioural science in AI. People beginning to prefer anthropic over chatgpt because of the way it's able to communicate is the perfect perfect example.
