took a rickshaw from Powai (Croma store, opposite Starbucks) to Marol (Times Square) half hour ago. Around 1:30 AM. On maps, it was showing me 4.8 kms. The meter started from 0 kms and 29 bucks and the fare was increasing suspiciously fast, including the distance. It ended at ₹151 and 7.6 kms. I didn’t take a detour. In fact, if you observe, the distance is still increasing faster than the rickshaw covering the distance. Later, I also checked the Uber auto fare and that showed ₹93. And the meter fare is generally not much different than Uber fare here. When I complained to the driver. He just said it’s because of the night charges. I understand night charges but why would the distance increase so much?? This meter was clearly rigged/ faulty
