a product should provide 3 important things to a customer in order to be successful 1. ASPIRATION(not necessarily a premium product, but something we aspire like having earbuds & headsets both OR having a gym membership even though one might not use it etc.) 2. VALUE (a sense of getting value for money products) 3. DELIGHT(while using, the experience shall be pleasing) I think nano failed in the ASPIRATION aspect of the product.

For me their marketing is the biggest mistake, because they advertise world's cheapest car. Nobody in the world want to say to their friends or relatives I own a cheapest car. still I see some where in my surroundings tata nano and they're in a well working condition, if the Marketers done right tata nano would be hit
