So Theatres are releasing old movies because they are afraid of OTT platforms or is it just about providing experience mixed with nostalgia?

Theatres aren’t stupid. They know OTT platforms offer new content 24/7, so they’re relying on nostalgia as a trump card. Watching ‘DDLJ’ in the theatre is an experience, but it’s also theatres fighting back against the convenience of streaming.
