𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 ₹𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀. Government of West Bengal has chalked out elaborate plans to enhance security in state government hospitals as well as enhancement of security for doctors, nursing staff, and health workers. The Finance Department has sanctioned ₹100 crore for the work, which is supposed to be completed on a priority basis. The state government has taken steps to revamp security measures in 26 government medical colleges across the state and other government hospitals. WBGov will be procuring more than 7,000 high-resolution CCTV cameras for installation, 105 high mast lights, arranging for trained security personnel, building 828 rest rooms for doctors and nurses, more toilets, and arrangements of drinking water with 1,663 drinking water systems across the government hospitals in the state.
