Tip to maintian your own authenticity and credibility. Be it being a freelancer or an employee of a startup, always consider the project/contract/agreement under an NDA clause. Never in any circumstance disclose the trade secrets or operational information of your client/company with anyone. Be it if you have signed a NDA or not. NDA = Non Disclosure Agreement Stand on your morals and make sure to stick to it.
