Idea/Solution: A company/app which can integrate with government and help Indians change their surnames on all documents without any trouble. Context/Problem: Most Indian surnames are caste based. I mean if you open wikipedia you can find most Indian surnames and their ancestral profession. But today their profession is completely different than the surnames which they had adopted earlier. This is affecting, if not all but most people in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. I am a victim of it. Metro cities don't face this issue a lot. Your thoughts 👇🏻

It’s a matter of pride to have a strong lineage. According to the National Family Health Survey report from 2019, 76% of mothers prefer a male child, and 83% of fathers want their first child to be male. This reflects the belief that families wish to continue their heritage through a male offspring. In many rural parts of India, it’s common to see couples having multiple children, often up to seven or eight daughters, in the hope of eventually having a son. When they lose hope, they usually stop trying for more children. This pattern shows that families desire a male child to carry forward their culture and ancestry, not to alter it by changing the surname. In India, surnames hold significant cultural importance.

I don’t think the bigger cities in India will survive for long without a major change in infra or without building newer cities for growth. The condition of most top tier cities is getting worse day by day. People need to start moving to other cities
