For Real, The infrastructure Will not be Able to Support The Oversaturated Population

China , Japan , USA and every developed country plan thier cities and work according to their people and future possibilities but Indian goverment working on this basis of votes . This problem never solve because of this type of bad excustion and leadership

Agree, quality of life is getting worst day by day, while people still running in race.

Who knew cities would change so fast?. Work from home would be a safe option, most can live outside of cities.

Big cities are getting worse because due to the infra mainly roads . Most of the places occur traffic due to poor condition of roads. Another reason I can say that is people dont have knowledge about water management . When rains they dont have rainwater harvesting to recharge ground after storing some water and about pollution if all the vehicles including govt, commercial and personal vehicles should have pollution under control certificates and for factory that release smoke should befiltered . If all the above things government takes control will not worse.

millennium city gurgaon doesn't have electricity to lit up all the houses, roads infra(Inner sectors) , garbage management, and clean air. Still flats are getting sold out within days at record prices. What is missing?

Yeah because everyone who has nothing to do or someone who has big dreams chooses big cities but here based on the cost they pay for what they get I think so people will realise soon that there is nothing to withdraw this big cities because with the same earning some normal cities other than top 10 will give a better life when compared to cost living time that is wasted by being in crowd or struggle when struck traffic make them realise soon

Someone tries to make lavasa as the future city but it all failed. All want to live in a crumbled up space one on top of other. That's India

The government should focus on developing other cities than those bigger cities by providing all the necessary amenities to them

Chennai is also facing similar issues. Frequent floods, power cuts, and lack of proper sanitation. We need to prioritize basic amenities and then think about expansion. Without tackling these root problems, new cities won’t solve anything.

I don’t buy it. We’ve been talking about these problems for decades, but nothing substantial happens. Politicians are more interested in short-term gains than in long-term planning. I doubt we’ll see any meaningful change. Aajtak ek naya upcoming city bada nahi ban paya ab kaise banega.

Easier said than done! Building new cities requires massive investments, and there’s a lot of red tape. Plus, people are emotionally and economically tied to their current locations. How do you propose we convince millions to move?

The government's Smart City initiative sounded promising, but it hasn’t been executed well. Instead of just adding more tech to existing cities, we need to plan and build new ones from scratch, with sustainability in mind.

Historically, civilizations have always had to expand or relocate. Look at ancient Rome or the Mayans. It’s a natural cycle, but it’s also an opportunity for innovation. We could lead the world in sustainable urban development if we play our cards right.

As someone living in Bangalore, I can tell you it’s already happening. Traffic is a nightmare, the air quality is deteriorating, and water shortages are becoming common. We desperately need better planning and investment in newer cities to take the load off.

Everyone wants to be in the "hot and trending" cities. Obviously they will get overcrowded.
