I believe subscription base model is good but not for months. It's good for at least 3 months. I am running public speaking classes of kids , where I am giving one month subscription to the parents in the beginning. If they will be satisfied then they can go futher for more 3 months and then after more 6 months. And even they all are group session's.

The con you’ve just mentioned is scary af for edtechs, being someone who used to work in edtech, then cancelling is the reason, guys who sell are instructed to give them the loans. Higher cut and also bigger accountability for them.

Most of the companies have subscription model I guess .

I think unacademy has subscription model

Subscription model is good. I am a med student and most of our apps includes prepladder, marrow, cerebellum have subscription model

Then people will complete the courses and all the stuff they want in a month and get off. Actually datacamp and codeacademy are subscription based and I used them for just one month literally. That's it. If it is a subscription based either it will try to hook people which will take time for many people. So it will not connect to the person. Only some people stay with you for long. You can make a business but profitable and stable one can't. For fuck sake at the current compwtetive market there are tons of options and trust me this will just make hard for people to choose one that's it. There is no business in it I believe.

The con outweighs the pro in this case

Here the CAC will always be in play and uneven no. of students every month expecting the uneven participantion due to low to no pull factor which was already there because of full fee payment leads to disturbance in resource allocation. These are my take

Somewhere the high fees also translates into quality (NOT AT ALL FOR THE EDTECH) just for a show to the parents. And parents are sold on it tbh

Yes, i guess its a good idea and i have a company called STEMinnovation. N i am running my robotics lab in 5 schools. N its a montly subscription model …along with trainer (handholding). But sometimes payment stuck due to school fees collection delays. But overall its good and it can be scalable

The traffic would be low in there sites and also they Had to pay Teachers.

It's impossible, just for a fixed syllabus of study material, how can they pay a continuous amount? Doesn't make any sense!!!

Already there are many platforms that have subscription model. What's your definition of edtech?
