Just saw an American startup received 2.5 million dollar funding but spent 1.8 million dollar in just buying domain. What do you guys think of this decision ? Is it worth it ? By the way the domain is friend.com

Cars.com was purchased for $900 Million and there current revenue is $650 mills. Btw i would say they should have choosed friends.com instead of friend.com
