Just saw an American startup received 2.5 million dollar funding but spent 1.8 million dollar in just buying domain. What do you guys think of this decision ? Is it worth it ? By the way the domain is friend.com

If they have the caliber to raise $2.5 million and the domain is crucial to their brand, I believe they made the right decision. Taking financial risks can sometimes lead to great business success in the future.
It also helps in marketing like at the end of the day it got people talking about them and the true necessity for ai companies right now is gathering users at scale.
