I recently completed a fluid drag force simulation using ANSYS Fluent, focusing on the aerodynamics of a swimmer's head with goggles. This study involved analyzing the drag force experienced in the z-direction with the following parameters: Momentum: 0.3 Inlet Velocity: 2 m/s Hydraulic Diameter: 0.4 m Key Insights: Drag Reduction: The simulation provided valuable insights into how the shape and positioning of goggles impact the overall drag force, potentially informing better design choices for competitive swimming gear. Flow Patterns: Observing the flow patterns around the swimmer's head helps in understanding the areas of high and low pressure, leading to optimized body positioning for reduced resistance. Simulation Details: Software: ANSYS Fluent Methodology: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
