I've been reading the book Sapiens, At the beginning it was quite enjoyable but as I approached the third part it's getting way to dark or rather it is very much th truth which is very hard to read to. If anyone has read it, tell me your opinions about it

The book does take a turn towards heavier topics, but I found that shift necessary for a comprehensive look at human history. What helped me was taking breaks between chapters to digest the information and reflect

I found Sapiens both exciting and frustrating. Harari has a gift for synthesizing complex ideas into accessible narratives, but he sometimes oversimplifies or makes sweeping generalizations. The darker tone in the later parts of the book reflects some genuine issues in how human societies have developed, but I'd encourage readers to view it as a starting point for further exploration rather than the final word on these topics.

Harari doesn't pull any punches when discussing the darker aspects of human history and society. I think what makes it particularly challenging is how he frames familiar historical events in new, often unsettling ways. His take on the Agricultural Revolution as a "fraud" that trapped humans is particularly jarring. But that's what makes the book valuable - it forces us to question our assumptions about human progress.
