ONDC delivers using the third party logistics to deliver the food i.e ola drivers, rapido drivers, loadshare, shadowfax etc.. and they dont have proper customer support both for delivery drivers and consumers. Availability of the drivers for delivery is not 100℅ so it takes long time to deliver . So people stick to duopoly for prompt delivery.

First there is not that much awareness about ONDC. Second and this is a huge problem, there is no customer support available for ONDC , so if your order is cancelled and money is deducted there is nothing one can do, and that's why people who use it don't recommend it to other.

I personally dont see alot of restaurants which i order from available, so forced to use swiggy

Delivery charges In hyd are <60+ minimum

A lot of people aren't actually aware of ONDC

My personal experience: The ondc platforms are not yet matured in terms of user experience. The over all expectations of user has raised the bar for user experience and these apps are not even half-way there..

A major reason why startups and even business that are already established either fail or are not able to make much money is because they don't spend much on marketing. Hire the best marketing team and do extensive marketing. There is no way you are not succeeding after this.

Because it is under government, From back timelin, BSNL was under government till then TATA acquired it can't release 5G. But within a acquiring period of 6 months tenure they released 5G. Just it takes a proper execution. But you know some clowns won't let it.

Used paytm ondc, no support provided on missing item, switched back to higher costing zomato gold

Once i order pizza from ONDC , they give me order so late also now prices are so high maybe because of logistics mismanagement and less demographics demand

See the only reason I can understand is the "lack of brand awareness" see, since ondc has great service but without any brand face and any marketing, without being exposed in front of public, you cannot be successful. Most of the people's don't even know about the name "ONDC" and that is the main reason I can interfere

Government lacks distributing expertise.

No wonder. The govt can build a platform but not a strong distribution. The UPI is built but it needed phonepay and gpay to spread the wings. Why not BHIM app is not successful. The problem is distribution. Am from Hyderabad and if I scroll in Zomato or swiggy it takes me so long to reach the end. Where as I have less than 10 options on ondc. The UI in any app with ondc is rigid or not as great as Zomato. I can keep scrolling for hour not ordering but searching where as avg time spent is low. No customer support which is will be a bitter experience in case of queries or issues. Discount is ok but accountability is missing. I order in Paytm using ONDC. Accepted by magicpin restaurant and delivered by rapido rider. Who is taking responsibility for an order mispalce. The solution is govt should make it compulsory to use ondc on all e-commerce operating India which can bring down the doupolies in e-commerce or let the platforms add a platform fee to provide extra services.

Its just what these apps have designed their strategy over years for. Habit is a huge reason.

They are partnering with dead brands idk why like ola food and magicpin..who even uses these?

I think they need a strong face and execution as in collaboration inside it. They have to break the brand image swiggy zomato has been trying to build from the last 10 years.
