No wonder. The govt can build a platform but not a strong distribution. The UPI is built but it needed phonepay and gpay to spread the wings. Why not BHIM app is not successful. The problem is distribution. Am from Hyderabad and if I scroll in Zomato or swiggy it takes me so long to reach the end. Where as I have less than 10 options on ondc. The UI in any app with ondc is rigid or not as great as Zomato. I can keep scrolling for hour not ordering but searching where as avg time spent is low. No customer support which is will be a bitter experience in case of queries or issues. Discount is ok but accountability is missing. I order in Paytm using ONDC. Accepted by magicpin restaurant and delivered by rapido rider. Who is taking responsibility for an order mispalce. The solution is govt should make it compulsory to use ondc on all e-commerce operating India which can bring down the doupolies in e-commerce or let the platforms add a platform fee to provide extra services.
