Hi everyone, It's been 1 month since I joined corporate as a fresher. My manager doesn't communicate with me, there's no communication between team members as some are working from home and some are in office. As most of the team members speak local language, those who doesn't know their language gets ignored(Heard from a team member who doesn't speak local language). Is this normal for corporate?

I had a similar experience in my first job. It's not normal, but it's more common than it should be. My advice? Give it another month. Keep trying to engage. If nothing improves, start job hunting. Your first job shapes your career trajectory - don't waste time in a place that doesn't value you.

Culture eats strategy for breakfast. What you're describing is a poor corporate culture. It's not "normal," but it's unfortunately common. My advice? Start networking within the company. Find mentors outside your immediate team. Sometimes, a lateral move to a different department can make a world of difference.

In Singapore, the Chinese(70% of population) gave up their language and adopted English as the national language so as to not alienate the minority Indians. In Pakistan, they forced Urdu on everyone. Mocked the Bengalis for trying to speak in it. End
