This is a perfect example of how sometimes the simplest ideas can be the most brilliant. Alex Tew didn't invent anything new - he just combined existing concepts (web advertising, scarcity, and a dash of novelty) in a unique way. It's a reminder that innovation doesn't always mean creating something from scratch, but often just looking at existing things from a new angle.
