Definitely true , but it's financial trap for the people who are not financially conscious, most of people aren't that's why. Although if used wisely with minimal utilisation and expenditure it may result good. But people rarely do it.

Agreed. Btw for that, there's an app called Mint. Mint tracks all you online spending and it groups it into different category so that you know how much you spend. Also you can set spending limits, etc.
